This will serve as an inspiration to the more fanatical members of the NRA crowd, no doubt. Who knows, in a few years we could have the same thing going in Virginia or Arizona.
Ah, nostalgia. I was in northern Pakistan in late '75 (Peshawar and Mingora, about a week in each city). This video is spot on. Guns up the yinyang, beautiful mountain scenery everywhere, friendly people...
God I loved that region and that time. I had no idea that 35 years later, Goldstein, er, I mean Osama bin Laden, would be the epitome of evil and he'd be hiding among the "terrorists" in that exact region. As Rodney King said, "can't we all just get along?"
I used to see whole families gathered around several dismantled guns, fixing and working on them and chatting away, happy as anything. If our "leaders" could be bothered to ever go there and just see the place and talk to people (and vice versa), maybe the world wouldn't be so full of blind hatred.
Holte, as a true blue patriot, will you please consider banning Mr. Harper and his patchouli, pot-addled hippie talk from fouling up the discourse? Don't we all want the free market to work?
You all know that Tom was either in the CIA or a hippie backpacker. If he was a CIA field agent, we have to tread carefully, those guys have a long reach and lots of friends. So, regardless of the free market, I won't ban him, no matter how wet or dry the blanket is.
That is amazing, I had no idea. When I saw Monty Python I was thinking comedy. That is something, that pen gun. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteGood vid.
ReplyDeleteI remember this. I always wondered how many people are killed by falling bullets each year in this village. Probably not as many as in Philadelphia.

Cool a look at what America will look like when everyone will have a gun and all laws regarding them are repealed.

ReplyDeleteOh Randal ya wet blanket. What's more family fun than gathering around the table and having the whole family having a crack at fixing the old 50 Cal.

ReplyDeleteHolte, Tom could've been with the State Department, Peace Corps or National Geographic.
ReplyDeleteS.W. - You're absolutely right of course, but I prefer the thought of him as a stealthy, peace-loving, CIA agent.
ReplyDeleteOr a CIA agent disguised as a stoned hippie.
ReplyDeleteSeeing as we've as many here as there I'm surprised we haven't got gun shops.....perhaps we have...I will investigate - and buy one if we have!!!
ReplyDeleteSo it's true, an armed society IS a polite society. Seems they also found the secret to equality as well.
ReplyDeleteMaybe just a stoned hippie.
